Leading Edge Flight School

We offer flying safaris from our base in Hoedspruit town. The flying safaris are done using Bantam aircraft. They are a pilot plus one passenger giving the client a personal one on one flying experience over some of the best sights in the country including the Blyde River Canyon and Big 5 game farms. The flights are done under the auspices of the school, so clients wishing to fly can use their flight as a training lesson should they so wish to. The school operates three aircraft which can accommodate larger groups with less waiting time on the ground. Our flying safaris vary in length from 10 minutes to 2.5 hours. The flights up to 30 minutes in duration are purely flights over Big 5 game areas. The hour flights have three options: 1. Hoedspruit ? Blyde River Canyon ? game viewing ? Hoedspruit, 2. Hoedspruit ? Blyde River Canyon ? Bourkes Potholes ? Hoedspruit, 3. Hoedspruit ? game viewing ? Olifants River ? Hoedspruit. The other options are: 1. Hoedspruit - Blyde Canyon ? Graskop ? Hoedspruit. This option includes a stop at Graskop for a really nice continental breakfast. The breakfast is laid out on the rocks at the edge of the escarpment, looking out over the Lowveld. This is a two and a half hour excursion, 2. Hoedspruit ? Garonga ? Hoedspruit. This option includes a stop at Garonga (a Big 5 reserve) for an amazing breakfast at the lodge.
