"About 3KM from Hazyview, on the Sabie road, you'll find a little gem called Gecko Backpackers. Tucked away in the heart of one of the last remaining indigenous forest along the Sabie Valley, Gecko Backpackers will give you a real sense of "THIS IS AFRICA"

The world famous Kruger National Park is 12 km from us, and the Blyde River Canyon, the third biggest, but greenest canyon in the world only 45 km from us, making Gecko Backpackers a good base from which to explore these wonders.

Pop in for a stay, where our friendly staff will greet you with a smile, all ready to help you plan your activities, ranging from big 5 Safari's in Kruger National Park, to day trips to the Panorama, or for the more crazy thrill-seeking adventure type, we'll set you of f to some white river rafting, quad biking, Sky Way trials zip-lining, and so much more!

Come join us for a cold drink at our vibrant little bar, or jump into our splash pool after a long days' activities in the African heat. Remember to bring your meat, we at Gecko Backpackers love our braais, and come join our fellow tourists for stunning African evenings with splendid views of the bush, or alternatively use our fully equipped self catering kitchen to prepare your meals.
