- Take a hike
Challenge yourself on the famous Fanie Botha Hiking Trail in Sabie. Ranging from two to five nights, the trail traverses through pine plantations and indigenous forests. The trail can be started from the Ceylon, Graskop or President Burger Huts, with the shortest distance being 17.1km and the longest 58.8km. Along the route one passes the pristine Lone Creek Falls and the incredible Mac Mac Falls. This trail is both fun and challenging and ranges from easy to moderate on the different legs. The Fanie Botha Hiking Trail is adventure, just a hike away.
- Experience ‘The Lift’
Located at the Graskop Gorge Lift Company, the viewing lift descends 51 metres along the face of the gorge into an indigenous Afromontane Forest. At the bottom of the gorge lies a 600-metre trail with a series of wooden walkways that lead to the wondrous Motitsi Waterfall.
- Look through ‘God’s Window’
Aptly named for its panoramic view over the Blyde River Canyon, this picture-perfect viewpoint is found along the Panorama Route near Graskop.
- Take a ‘SPLASH’ in the Sabie River
The Sabie River plays host many water activities at various point within the towns of Sabie and Hazyview. Adrenaline pumping adventures include tubing, rafting, canoeing and kloofing.
